Cold frames are ideal for protecting young and delicate plants from harsh weathers such as strong winds, snow and frosts. A cold frame can function as a mini-greenhouse to prolong or extend the growing season.
Our Box Cold Frame uses 4ft, 2ft and 1ft 6in poles, meaning it is large enough to provide useful cover and protection for a variety of plants, but also light and compact enough to easily move around the garden as required.

The frame was well packed and arrived undamaged. There were no instructions but I managed to construct the frame with little difficulty. I was surprised that the cover was just a sheet of plastic as the image of the finished item appeared to be fitted with no obvious overlap. My main reason for dropping to a four star review was that the fixing clips were very flimsy and snapped very easily. This is a well designed frame and I think it will last for several years. It would also work well with fleece or netting.
